About Us

Who we are?

We are Ines and Julien, a Spanish/Swiss couple. We are beach and watersport addicts. After living over the globe and spending many years enjoying Australian beaches, we randomly visited Tarifa in 2020 for a kitesurf lesson and fell in love with this beautiful area of Southern Spain.

These days whenever we can, we take our kitesurf gear out, head for a nice session and then enjoy nice dinners and drinks in one of the many amazing restaurant that Tarifa offers. Big chance that during your stay you might run into us at the beach or in one of the restaurants.

We also like skiing and often go to Saas Fee (Switzerland) to ski and snowboard in this lovely Swiss ski resort. We are also delighted to show you around.

When the idea of creating this project began to materialize, we decided to find a name for the brand that faithfully represented what we wanted to symbolize. This is how we found the word Wayra, an ancient American word that means "Born of the wind".
